# SmilesPlanet app guide

The product flow bringing Reports, Smiles, Quick Smiles and sponsors together through saplings. This guide describes current app rules; example images are not live user records.

## What is SmilesPlanet?

SmilesPlanet is a mobile app combining real-world acts of kindness and improvement with locations, before-and-after evidence and community review. It is developed by Beyondend Dev. Store releases for iOS and Android are coming soon. The web portal is a separate sponsor advertising service.

## A flow where three paths meet

Report → community approval → Approved Report → someone else’s act of kindness → Pending Smile → community approval → Approved Smile.

Parallel path: before/after → Pending Quick Smile → community approval → Approved Quick Smile.

Sponsor path: advertising package → sapling placement → verified payment → sponsored saplings on the map.

Sponsors place saplings on the map. You collect Smile points through contributions approved by the community. When you have enough points, you can choose and claim a sapling on the map.

Claiming creates your SmilesPlanet certificate. An impact order is then sent to Ecologi; project and impact links are added to the certificate.

## 👁️ Report — Pending · Under review

Share a photo and location of a place that needs attention. Creating a Report uses a token. It starts as pending: the community has not approved it yet.

## ✓ Approved Report — The community verifies

The community approves the report. An approved Report gives another person a starting point for making an improvement. An approved Report does not earn a Smile point yet. When a linked Smile is approved, the reporter and the smiler each earn one Smile point.

## ✨ Smile — Someone else takes action

Another person carries out the act of kindness and shares the result. The new Smile is pending; its source Report moves to the internal butterfly state and leaves the active Reports list. Reporters cannot turn their own Reports into linked Smiles.

## 😊 Approved Smile — The act of kindness is verified

When a linked Smile is approved, the reporter and the smiler each earn one Smile point. The person who made the need visible and the person who acted on it both receive recognition.

## 📸 Before and after — Without waiting for a Report

Noticed a need and safely made an improvement yourself? You can share before-and-after evidence of your act of kindness directly, along with its location.

## ⚡ Quick Smile — Pending · Under review

A Quick Smile creates a pending Smile without a separate Report. The reporter and smiler are the same person: a direct, single-contributor path. Creating it does not spend a token.

## 👥 Community review — The same verification principle

A quick path does not skip approval. The community reviews the before and after. Contributors cannot vote on their own Smiles.

## 😊 Approved Quick Smile — The same Smile entitlement

When a Quick Smile is approved, its contributor earns one Smile point. Both roles belong to the same person, so the reward is not doubled. It counts towards claiming saplings in the same way as a regular Smile; it is not a separate economy.

## 🤝 Sponsor — Chooses an advertising package

The sponsor chooses an advertising package through a separate web account and prepares their brand, logo and message. The service purchased is advertising, not app tokens or an investment product.

## 🗺️ Places saplings — Chooses the locations

The sponsor places the package’s saplings on the map. Until saved, the arrangement stays in the open form’s memory. Saving creates a draft. Map points are not physical tree-planting coordinates.

## ✓ Payment is verified — The campaign is confirmed

Once payment is verified on the server, the campaign and saplings are confirmed. Price, quantity and placement cannot change afterwards; the sponsor can update brand text, logo and link.

## 🌱 Sponsored saplings — The contributor’s journey begins

Saplings are delivered to the mobile map through the publishing flow. The sponsor has completed placement and payment; now a user with enough entitlement can claim a sapling. A distributed sapling is never taken back.

## The difference between type and status

An event is a record of a report or contribution. Report and Smile are content types. Pending, Approved and Rejected are record statuses. Quick Smile is not a separate type, but the direct path for creating a Smile. Butterfly is an internal status assigned to the source Report when a linked act of kindness is submitted; it is not a separate browsable map category.

## Report · Pending

A new Report awaits community verification. Its owner cannot vote on their own Report.

## Report · Approved

The report has been verified. This call is now open to Smilers ready to take action in the real world. Smile points are earned not when a report is submitted, but when the act of kindness is completed.

## Report · Rejected

The Report was rejected by the community or withdrawn by its owner. It cannot be used for a new linked Smile. An expired pending Report may be removed directly during maintenance; deletion does not always have to pass through Rejected first.

## Smile · Pending

Evidence of the result is under review. The source Report moves to butterfly and is no longer presented as an open Report for the same place.

## Smile · Approved

The act of kindness has been verified. When a linked Smile is approved, the reporter and the smiler each earn one Smile point. Both the person who made the need visible and the person who acted are rewarded. If both have signatures, the two-person marker shows their shared story. An Approved Smile cannot be withdrawn by its owner.

*Only the owner can remove their photo and signature. Before-and-after content is permanent.

## Smile · Rejected

The contribution was not approved, was withdrawn by the smiler or its review period expired. No Smile point is earned. The existing source butterfly Report returns to Approved, so someone else can contribute.

## Quick Smile · Pending

One person submits the before and after. No separate Report is created, but community review is not skipped.

## Quick Smile · Approved

When a Quick Smile is approved, its contributor earns one Smile point. Both roles belong to the same person, so the reward is not doubled. It has a single-person signature. An Approved Quick Smile is also an approved Smile and cannot be withdrawn by its owner.

*Only the owner can remove their photo and signature. Before-and-after content is permanent.

## Quick Smile · Rejected

The direct contribution was not approved, was withdrawn by its owner or its review period expired. No point is earned. There is no linked Report to reopen.

## Rejection and restoration

If the community rejects it → Rejected. If there are not enough votes, it remains under review. If a linked Smile is rejected, withdrawn or times out, its existing source Report returns to Approved. A Quick Smile has no source Report to reopen.

## The purpose of tokens

Designed to help improve the world. Earned only through the community’s collective effort.

## Tokens, Smiles and claiming entitlement

Completing a verification round earns tokens; an individual vote is not the same as completing a round. A new Report spends a token. Creating a Smile or Quick Smile does not spend a token. An approved Report does not earn a Smile point yet. When a linked Smile is approved, the reporter and the smiler each earn one Smile point. When a Quick Smile is approved, its contributor earns one Smile point. Both roles belong to the same person, so the reward is not doubled. Claiming is possible when enough unspent points and an eligible sapling are available. Thresholds and task conditions come from current app settings; this guide does not fix them. Tokens and Smiles are not money, cryptoassets or investments.

## Claim a sapling with your Smile points.

Sponsors place saplings on the map. You collect Smile points through contributions approved by the community. When you have enough points, you can choose and claim a sapling on the map.

## Claiming a sapling

When you have enough Smile points, you can choose and claim a sponsor’s sapling on the map. If several people request the same sapling at once, only one succeeds and only that person’s entitlement is used. Their total achievement history is preserved.

## SmilesPlanet certificate

Every successful claim creates a separate SmilesPlanet certificate. It is displayed dynamically in the app and can be exported as an image; it is not a document waiting for an external provider’s result.

## Ecologi and real-world impact

After a claim, an impact order is sent to our planting partner, Ecologi. The partner’s project and impact link are added to the certificate, and an email notification to the user is requested from Ecologi. Physical planting follows the partner’s projects and schedule.

## Community and technology

Every verification you contribute to the ecosystem earns you tokens, and each token lets you report the first step in a new sapling’s journey. We could have left verification to artificial intelligence, but we did not want to run energy-intensive servers while working to restore the planet. Instead of consuming the planet’s resources, we bring our community’s clean collective energy and shared intelligence into action. To help the world grow greener, we believe in the strength of people coming together, not in using more electricity.

## Who verifies what?

Only pending records can be voted on. Users cannot vote on their own Reports or their own acts of kindness, or vote twice on the same record. A reporter may review someone else’s contribution linked to their Report. The net weighted score of positive and negative votes determines the result under current server rules.

## Maps and markers

The Smiles map shows approved Smiles and eligible saplings; the Reports map shows approved Reports. Your own records are grouped by status under Mine. With two signature images, a Smile marker shows the reporter and smiler together; Quick Smile shows one person. A sapling marker shows 🌱 on the left and the sponsor logo on the right; without a logo, only 🌱 remains. Nearby records may be clustered. The woman/man portraits and Beyondend sponsor logo on this site are illustrative examples only.

## Personal contributions and removal

You can permanently remove only your own reporter/smiler signature photo and words; there is no later editing or reversible hiding. Another person’s signature and the main before-and-after evidence are not deleted by this action. Owners may withdraw pending Reports, pending Smiles/Quick Smiles and approved Reports. An Approved Smile cannot be withdrawn.

*Only the owner can remove their photo and signature. Before-and-after content is permanent.

Rejected records follow a maintenance period from rejection/withdrawal; this does not remove your rights to make personal-data requests.

## Sponsor accounts and payment

Membership on this website is for sponsors only. It is separate from your mobile app account: using the same email address does not merge accounts or balances.

## What sponsors can update

A live campaign’s brand text, logo and link may be updated. Confirmed sapling locations, quantity, price and currency remain fixed. New package prices apply to new drafts/orders; they do not reprice past payments or distributions. Distributed saplings and certificates are not deleted if a sponsor later changes their mind.

## Safety and privacy

Do not intervene around hazardous waste, traffic or restricted areas. The app is not an emergency hotline. Use real evidence; do not upload misleading or generated evidence. Do not share other people’s private information. See Community rules, Privacy and Terms of use for details.

## Deleting your mobile account

Permanent account deletion from Account is performed on the server after confirmation and any required reauthentication. Profile, sign-in details and personal signature photos/words are removed; published primary evidence and anonymous impact history are preserved. This does not automatically delete the separate web sponsor account or historical business records. Contact support for additional data requests.

## Contact and collaboration

Support, partnerships and investment discussions: team@beyondend.dev. Revenue comes from sponsor advertising packages; the site does not sell investment products or promise returns.
